The Rachlin Foundation has once again achieved a top ranking for its support of South Florida charities. The Foundation was ranked 13th among the region’s businesses or their associated foundations based on cash contributions paid to Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach County-based charities in 2008. In 2007, the Rachlin Foundation ranked 15th among the region’s top corporate givers.

“What an honor to once again be part of this impressive list of corporate givers that includes the charitable foundations of major corporations like Bank of America, Ryder System, Lennar and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida,” said Suzanne Leslie, Executive Director of the Rachlin Foundation. “In spite of the challenges of the current economy, our entire team not only continued their support of the local community, but increased it.”

During 2008, the Rachlin Foundation paid $112,500 to local charities, a figure that does not take into account the hundreds of hours of pro bono services provided by the firm during the year or the hundreds of hours of volunteer time donated to various organization by MarcumRachlin team members. 

The “Corporate Giving/Corporate Foundations” list appears in the annual “Giving Guide,” a special publication of the South Florida Business Journal.
