Continuing a Valentine's Day tradition, The Rachlin Foundation delivered books, bookmarks and backpacks to abandoned, neglected and abused children living in shelters in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. Recognizing that many of these children do not feel loved, the foundation chooses Valentine's Day to make the special deliveries. In a letter of thanks, Cora L. Brown, director of development for the Children's Home Society of Florida says, "Providing these creative "valentines" for our children is such a great idea! They are fun, yet educational, but best of all demonstrate to the children that someone is thinking of them."
